Voicenote Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the Submission of Voicenotes

We invite you to record a “voicenote” for Anna starting with the phrase “It can’t just be me…” . Although we can’t promise that your question will be answered on the podcast, we will endeavour to listen to all of them and give each question proper consideration.

In order to manage everyone’s time and ensure that the voicenotes match the format of the podcast , here are a few simple rules which will apply to the content of any Voicenote you choose to record and submit to It Can’t Just Be Me as a “listener dilemma”.

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) will become binding on you from the moment your Voicenote is submitted to It Can’t Just Be Me. If you do not agree with the Terms, please do not record a voicenote.

By recording a Voicenote, you grant to us an unrestricted, unlimited and irrevocable right (but not the obligation) to host, use, reproduce, publish, broadcast, display, store, cache, publicly perform, translate, edit, adapt, redact, excerpt and distribute your Listener Dilemma in any and all media formats and channels, subject to the User Contribution being selected for publication in relation to It Can’t Just Be Me (the “Podcast”). User Contributions not selected for publication will be subject to our deletion policy below.

User Contributions may be spoken, quoted or played back on the Podcast and will also be listened to by our staff and other third parties involved with the Podcast. As such, any User Contribution uploaded to the Site should be considered non-confidential and, by posting a Voicenote, you agree that we may make use of your User Contribution in any manner connected with the Podcast as we see fit.

In order to preserve anonymity and the security of your personal information, we ask that only first names (or pseudonyms) should be used when recording a Voicenote. We reserve the right to use the names used in each Voicenote and, if provided, city or regional locations of the individual(s) concerned. Contributors are welcome to change their names.

User Contributions should not include information capable of identifying an individual referred to in a Voicenote in any circumstances (for example, references to ‘my boyfriend’ would be acceptable but not ‘my boyfriend Dave’). This is to avoid Anna, Podimo or others involved in the Podcast being exposed to claims involving defamation or infringement of an individual’s privacy or data protection rights. We reserve the right to edit or immediately delete any User Contribution where this rule is not adhered to.

Users under 18 years of age are strictly prohibited from posting Voicenotes. Aside from this, we welcome and encourage voice notes from adults of all ages.

We undertake to delete all Voicenotes which are not used in the Podcast within sixty (60) days following the decision not to use them.

In making a Listener Dilemma you warrant the following:

  • Your Listener Dilemma does not violate the rights of any other person (including without limitation copyright or moral rights, or where the User Contribution amounts to breach a confidence);
  • Your Listener Dilemma is not false, inaccurate or misleading;
  • Your Listener Dilemma is not obscene, lewd, lascivious, violent, harassing, libellous, slanderous, or otherwise objectionable (as determined by us);
  • Your Listener Dilemma is not designed to ridicule, disparage, intimidate, harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
  • Your Listener Dilemma should not refer to any company or business, or be designed to promote any product or service;
  • Your Listener Dilemma does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or rule, or amount to a contempt of court.

You agree to hold Anna, Podimo and Mags Creative free and harmless from any liability that arises in relation to your breach of any of the warranties above.

You are not entitled to payment or any other form of compensation for your User Contribution.

You agree to provide contact details (Email address) for our team to contact you for potential further involvement in the podcast.
